One Dead After Two-Vehicle Accident Near Scottsboro

SCOTTSBORO –  The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a traffic fatality that occurred on Friday, June 8 involving two motorcycles:

“A two-vehicle crash at 8:50 p.m. Friday, June 8, has claimed the life of a Scottsboro man.

Jimmy Wayne Martin, 59, was killed when the 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was operating was struck from behind by a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Rodney Thomas, 51, of Scottsboro.

Martin was pronounced dead at the scene. Russell was not treated for any injuries. The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 79 one mile north of Scottsboro.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
