BioBlitz A Success…Bugs Found Mission Accomplished – EVENT PHOTOS

MUSCLE SHOALS-A Bioblitz is a short, intense team effort to discover as many different species as possible in one location. These events allow people to work together to find and identify as many types of plants, animals, microbes, fungi, and other organisms as they can. Discover Life in America (DLIA) partners with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to bring regional scientists, students, teachers, families, and other community members together, engaging people in a biological inventory of TVA’s public lands.

On Friday night, June 8 and Saturday, June 9 TVA, DLIA, and the public scoured the area around The Native Plant Garden on the TVA  Reservation for bugs.   On Friday the search was on for night bugs and Saturday from 9 AM until 12 PM all bugs were fair game.

The Quad Cities Daily was on hand to search for bugs and capture the event in photos.  We present them to you here:
