Mrs. Betty Sue Deaton, age 67, of Arab, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
Mrs. Deaton was born on June 29, 1950 to Oscar Orris Lawler & Mary Inez Langford Lawler in Marshall County. She enjoyed reading, shopping, volunteering at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice & spending time with her family and friends.
She was a member of Albertville Worship Center.
Mrs. Deaton is survived by her husband of 26 years Harry Cecil Deaton; daughter, Pamela Keeton; sons and daughter-in-laws, Stewart & Nicole Deaton, Kevin & Tammy Deaton; sisters and brother-in-laws, Jean & Dewitt Peek, Linda Smith, Josephine McClain, Peggy & Martin Whitaker, Ann & Art Smith. Preceded in death by her parents, late husband, Charles Hugh West; brothers, Beaman Lawler, J.T. Lawler; sisters, Bonnie Lawler, Stella Franklin.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Brashiers Chapel Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Chris Peek, Van Collier, Stewart Deaton, William Collier & Mason Collier.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
