Joseph “JJ the Clown” McGinnis – Obituary

Funeral for Joseph “JJ the Clown” McGinnis, 87 of Hillsboro, will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Old Time Gospel Fellowship Church with Brother Lee Tippitt officiating. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church.

Mr. McGinnis was born July 7, 1930 in Michigan to Jim E. McGinnis and Nancy G. Bell Williams. He passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at his residence. He was retired from GM, was an independent minister and professional clown. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy McGinnis.
