Freda Ann Cogdell Stanhope – Obituary

Freda Ann Cogdell Stanhope was born on September 26, 1951 in Henderson county. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Elvie Cogdell, and her brother Tim Cogdell. She is survived by her husband, Doug Stanhope; her daughter, Melody Meggs Willis; son in law, Tim Willis; and grandchildren, Reanna, Ashlyn, Laney, Landon, and Christian.
Freda went to be with the Lord at her home in Jackson on June 4, 2018. Freda spent most of her career being a nurse. She was loved immensely by all of her patients. Freda was known by all as a prayer warrior. She witnessed to anyone that would listen. She loved being involved in ministries and prayer groups. Her favorite time of the year was the Feast of Tabernacles. She also enjoyed going to auctions and taking trips with her husband, girls day out trips with her daughter, shooting nerf guns with her grandson, countless hours of dance entertainment with her girls, and watching her oldest granddaughter graduate.
The family wishes to thank everyone that has prayed for them and with them. The family also wishes to express gratitude to Avalon Hospice for the special care that was given by the entire staff.
