Lewis Virgil Clark – Obituary

Mr. Lewis Virgil Clark, age 93, of Arab, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Clark was born on March 28, 1925 to Virgil O. Clark and Stella Rowe Clark in Morgan County. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a WWII Veteran. Mr. Clark taught at Arab High School serving as the VICA sponsor and coached many sports. He was inducted into the Morgan County Sports Hall of Fame. He enjoyed watching sports, farming and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Glenda Williams Clark, sons & daughter-in-laws, Don Lewis & Lisa Clark, Jeff Nokomis & Laura Clark; daughter, Jan Clark; brother & sister-in-law, William “Bill” & Ann Clark; grandchildren, Kiliegh Clark, Emily Clark, John Clark, Adam Clark; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil O. & Stella Rowe Clark; brother, Frank Clark; sisters, Ruth Thompson & Nell Clark.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Brad Williams & Lawayne Fleming, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Adam Clark, John Clark, David Thompson, Tim Sanderson, Johnny Williams & Tommy Milner.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
