Mrs. Barbara Ann Smith, age 73 of Athens, AL passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born on August 29, 1944 in Huntsville, AL to Vernie and Bertha Cheeves Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Thomas Wayne Smith of Athens, AL; son, Greg Smith (Tammy) of Toney, AL; grandchild, Lauren Askew (Palmer); great-grandchild, Allie Askew; two sisters, Jennifer Hambrick (Mickey) of Athens, AL and Vivian Robinson (Mike) of Fayetteville, TN.
Services for Mrs. Smith will be at 2:00PM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. George Whitten officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service. Burial will take place in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Matthew Hambrick, Gary Brown, John Brown, Billy Webb, Kenny Brown and Scottie Webb.
