Catherine Magnusson 92, of Elkmont, AL died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Limestone Health and Rehab, Athens, Alabama.
Born Saturday, January 30, 1926 in Elkmont, AL, she was the daughter of Oakley Miller and Clara Miller.
She has lived in this area all her life, loved gardening and was a member of Hollands Gin Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years, John Leslie Magnusson, Jr.; sisters, Mable Gey and Janice Miller.
She is survived by son, Harvey (Pat) Magnusson, Elkmont, AL; daughter, Charlotte (Earl) Greene, Toney, AL; grandchildren, Sandy (Brian) Leighton, Wendy (Craig) Anderson, Holly Nye, John (Tammy) Magnusson; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 5:00PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 01, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 2:00 PM with Brian Leighton and Ray Hodges officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
