Joshua Alan Wade McCollum passed away on May 26, 2018, at the age of 31. Josh will be forever remembered by his loving wife and best friend, Alex Vanover McCollum; his three sons, Laken, Aiden, and Emery; his parents, Homer Wade McCollum Jr. and Peggy McCollum; his sisters Miranda (Joel) Kimbrough and Chelsea (Ben) Long; his brothers, Adam (Pamela) Jones and Marc (Stacy) Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He was predeceased in death by his mom, Rebekah Willcutt McCollum, and his grandparents.

Josh’s love for his wife, his high school sweetheart, was indescribable. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, canoeing with family, enjoying outdoor activities (fishing and swimming), and living life to the fullest with his children. He was employed at Rogers Group, and his coworkers were family to him.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 31, at 5 p.m. at Jubilee Church, 3740 Blue Road, Tuscumbia, Alabama, with Josh’s coworker, Pastor Dale Huckaba, presiding.

Please respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Josh to St. Jude’s Rally at the River, which will be held on June 9, 2018, at McFarland Park. This cause was dear to Josh, and he looked forward to riding with his dad each year.

Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
