Harry B. “Pete” Pitts, Jr., 76, died Sunday May 27, 2018, at his home. He was born January 8, 1942, in Itawamba County to Harry B. and Hortense Holley Pitts, Sr. He was a Baptist in belief. He retired after over 40 years of service as a superintendent with F.L. Crane and Sons. He was a member of the Itawamba Sportsmen Club. He enjoyed coon hunting, cattle farming, and gardening.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Jeff Lentz and Bro. Scot George officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his son, John Curtis Pitts (Jada) of Belmont, his daughter, Jackie K. Irvin (Greg) of Warrior, AL; six grandchildren, Blake Irvin, Courtney Parker, Jennifer Clevenger, Jake Pitts, Jaylee Pitts, and Jaycee Pitts; six great-grandchildren, Kody Parker, Kailyn Clevenger, Cooper Irvin, Loralei Clevenger, Bentley Irvin, and Nate Clevenger.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Sarah Nell Pitts, who died in 2015.

Pallbearers will be Clarence South, Bobby Howard, Johnny Crane, Billy Waddle, Robert McCarley, Joe Cayson, Roger Sartin, Jimmy Lindsey, Halbert Pitts, Mark Parham, Mark Mayhall, Billy Harris, and Bobby Staggs.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
