Olen Burket Searcy – Obituary

Mr. Olen Burket Searcy, 95, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Russellville Hospital. A native of Colbert County, he had lived in Russellville seventy-two years. He was a member of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church, Russellville, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed trucker and a member of the VFW and DAV.
Visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville.
Mr. Searcy is survived by his wife, Doris Searcy and a grandson, Chris Montgomery and his wife Stephanie. Three great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren also survive him, alone with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Debra Montgomery and his parents, Riley and Theola Searcy. Two sisters, Lois Montgomery and Eloise Poss, and brothers, Charlie Searcy and Freddy Searcy, also preceded him in death.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
