Marie Jowers Stanfill – Obituary

Marie Jowers Stanfill was born on September 21, 1930 to Elbert and Opal Jowers in the Lone Elm community near Chesterfield, TN. Mrs. Stanfill passed on Saturday, May 26th at the age of 87.
She owned Stanfill’s Cloth Shoppe, located on Lexington’s court square for over 30 years. Many lifelong friendships were formed during these years.
Mrs. Stanfill was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Jowers, Opal and Vernice Wall, a brother Bobby Jowers, and beloved great-grandson Bryce DeAllen Stanfill.
She is survived by Bennie, her husband of 70 years and 18 days. Other survivors include two sons, Steve (Vicki) Stanfill and Jimmy (Babs) Stanfill.
Grandchildren are Vicki (Jason) Bunch, Kristie (Brian) Powers, Brent (Pamela) Stanfill, Teresa (Jason) Russell, Jeff (Tiffany) Stanfill, Janet Smith, and Bethany (Tim) Phillips.
Great-grandchildren include Will and Ella Bunch, Dakota and Tyler Powers, Brooklyn and the late Bryce Stanfill, Taylor, Madeline and Evan Russell, Drake and Cooper Stanfill, Summer Smith, and Carley and McKayla Phillips.

Visitation is Sunday 10am-9pm, with funeral services on Monday at 2 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery.
