Judith Ann “Judith” Collier – Obituary

Judith Ann “Judith” Collier, 72, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. She was born February 8, 1946, to John Marvin and Aletha Raper Pearce. She was a member of the Mantachie United Methodist Church, where she played the piano and organ. She taught third grade at Mantachie Elementary School for 29 years. She was a member of the Mantachie Pilot Club. She taught piano and organ lessons for many years. She loved going to her sons’ ballgames, doing activities with her friends, and especially enjoyed being around her family.

Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Monday, May 28, at the Mantachie United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Coggins, Rev. Ronnie Goodwin, and Rev. Bobby Hankins officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Scott Collier (Kerri) of Mantachie and Rick Collier (Stephanie) of Fulton; her father, John Marvin Pearce; two brothers, Robert Pearce (Sarah) and John David Pearce (Diane), all of Mantachie; three grandchildren, Ivan Collier, Lauren Collier, and Stone Collier.

She was preceded in death by her mother and the father of her children, Jerry Collier.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Sunday and from 10 a. m. until service time Monday all at the Mantachie United Methodist Church.
