Marilyn Clark went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2018, with her family by her side. Marilyn graduated from Austinville High School in 1947 and attended Athens College. She graduated from Rainey’s Beauty Academy in 1951. Marilyn loved Jesus and was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Her Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Brother Chris Martin, Brother Rob Jackson and Brother Brian Blass officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
She is survived by daughters, Myra J. Clark Lovelady (Ronny) and Jenny Stephens (David); granddaughters, Annie Stephens Malo (Chris) and Haley Stephens McConnell (Caleb); great-granddaughter, Delilah Jean McConnell; brother, Clark Russell, and sisters, Estalene Gee and Miriam Baker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Hugh Russell and Mary Annie Clark-Russell, and six siblings.
Pallbearers will be Ray Russell, Fuller Russell, John Russell, Chris Malo and Calvin Cathcart.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
