Mildred E. Winter – Obituary

Mildred E. Winter, 89, died Sunday, May 20, 2018, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born May 2, 1929, to R.K. and Gertrude Kennedy Houston. She was retired from Baxter Laboratories in North Chicago, where she worked in Logistics. She was a member of the East Fulton Baptist Church. She was an avid reader.

Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, May 23, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. John Lewis and Bro. Terry Paul Graham officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Mike Winter (Peggy) of Tupelo; one brother, Ronald Houston (Nan); two sisters, Joyce Harris (Burton) and Diane Frederick, all of Fulton; four grandchildren, Mike Winter II, Dawn Faucheux, Gwendolyn McNabb Bozeman, and Jennifer Nash; nine great-grandchildren, Victoria, Emily, and James Winter, and Matthew, Tyler, and Jon-Michael McNabb, and Megan, Donovan, and Amber Nash; one great-great grandson, Isaiah.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James Travis Winter, who died in 2014.

Pallbearers will be Gary Wallace, Richard Houston, Russ Houston, Klay Houston, Kole Houston, and Mike Todd.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jon-Michael McNabb.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Tuesday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
