Jackie Vester Hood, 70, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born September 25, 1947, in Itawamba County to Olma and Vyrl Adams Hood. He worked for Genesco. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was a Mason. He enjoyed gardening, singing, and playing the guitar.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 18, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Keith Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Ann Hood; two sons, Josh Wayne Hood (Chrissy) of Fulton, and Danny Merle Hood (Kim) of Tremont; one daughter, Shelly Green (Rodney) of Tremont; one sister, Judy Buchanan (Gene) of Fulton; three grandchildren, Jeffrey W. Hood, Cindy Lynn Hood, and Alayna Michelle Green; and four great-grandchildren, Gracie, Junior, Addy, and Kooper.
He was preceded in death by one son, James Roy Hood, and his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
