Oneal Pierce – Obituary

Oneal Pierce, 76, of Moulton passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the funeral home with Bro. Guye Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

A Vietnam veteran, Oneal retired from Champion after 26 years. He was a loving husband and devoted father and Papaw who loved his coffee, cutting up with friends and bragging on his family. Oneal was very selfless and always helped anyone who needed it, putting others ahead of himself.

Survivors include his daughter Latasha Lovelady (Brian); brother, Donnie Pierce (Delila); stepdaughter, Lynn Williams (Roger); granddaughters, Callie and Olivia Lovelady; step-grandsons, Roger and Travis Williams; several step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and fur babies, Lilly and Stormy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lue Bradford Pierce; parents, Rayburn and Odean Pierce; stepdaughter, Vicki Ellenburg; and two brothers, Wendell Pierce and Bobby Pierce.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family extends special thanks to all the staff at Princeton Baptist, especially the MICU Nursing Staff, New Beacon Curo Hospice, the Helen Keller Nursing staff, Alacare Home Health, and the NHC Rehab Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Princeton Baptist Medical Center or Hospice.
