Jack D. Saint, 83, of Huntsville, passed away Friday, May 11th, at Whitesburg Gardens. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, James J. Saint and Marveline King Saint, and his adored wife of 53 years, Tatsumi Saint.

Survivors include his brother, Ray Saint; sister, Netia Saint Fowler; nephews, Sam Fowler and Scott Fowler; nieces, Salina Bradford, Cathy Saint, and Carla Landers; six great-nephews and six great-nieces; and four great-great-nieces and nephews.

Jack’s first job was delivering papers for three years for the Decatur Daily. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1953 and from there he served in the U.S. Military for 10 years (two years Army and eight years Air Force).

He entertained us with the stories of his military life. He married his precious wife, Tatsumi, when he served in Japan. After his military service they returned to live in Huntsville, where his work was in the growing computer industry. He was an avid golfer until a shoulder injury in 2014, which ended his playing, but not his love for the game of golf.

His nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews were his “children and grand-children”. He had a great relationship with all of them and was their friend, buddy, and mentor. He will be fondly remembered by all of his family, and the stories of Unca D. will be retold over and over as the years flow by. WE LOVE YOU, UNCA D.

No services are planned at this time.
