UPDATE: Possible Body Of Missing Mouton Woman Found Dead In The Bankhead National Forest

UPDATE:  Sheriff Tommy Moore said the vehicle belonging to Jennifer Marshell White, 55, of Market Street in Moulton, was found about noon on a logging road about a quarter mile west of Alabama 33 in the Bankhead National Forest area.   

The call was received at 12:43 on Sunday, May 6 by a private search party saying that they had located the missing vehicle and a woman’s body inside according to Winston County Sheriff Tommy Moore. Moore says the bodyhas been sent to the state forensics office for final identification. According to authorities there were no signs of foul play, and there is no word on the cause of death. Moore said it might be Tuesday before his office receives a preliminary report from the state forensics office.

WINSTON COUNTY-Authorities confirm the body of Jennifer White was found Sunday, May 6, during a community search lead by a Huntsville private investigator in Bankhead National Forest.

Jennifer White went missing on April 8.  She was last seen driving a black 2007 Chevy Tahoe with a pink “Salt Life” sticker on the rear window. A vehicle matching that description was found by the search party  in Bankhead National Forest near Highway 33 in Winston County at the Lawrence-Winston County line. It has been confirmed by authorities as White’s vehicle.

Chief Lyndon McWhorter of Moulton Police said the department has closed its missing person’s case.
