Joe Garland Templeton, age 86 of Franklin, TN passed away April 30, 2018. Graduated from McMinnville High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee Tech. Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Retired from U.S. Tobacco after 38+ years of service. Former elder at Franklin Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by parents, Everette and Clara Duke Templeton and sister, Bettye Cummings. Survived by: wife of 62 years, Jean Templeton; daughters, Cindy Templeton Barnhart and Susan Templeton Jamison (Sammy) Garza; brother, Gerald (Bea) Templeton; grandchildren, William Michael Jamison, Joseph Clifton Jamison and Zachary Tyler Barnhart and great grandchild, Trinity Dawn Barnhart. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Franklin Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Don Frost officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Franklin Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
