Yvonne Cook – Obituary

Yvonne Cook, 81, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born January 14, 1937, in Marion County, Alabama, to Phillip Abner and Cora Alice Cantrell Loveless. She worked for Marshall Durbin for a short time and was a homemaker most all her life. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She sang gospel music with different groups throughout several states.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, at the New Bethel Baptist Church in the Wylie Branch community of Marion County, Alabama, with Bro. Leslie Sartin officiating.  Burial will be in the Old Bethel Cemetery.  McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Cook, of Fulton; three sons, Robert Cook of Fulton, Patrick Cook of Hackleburg, Ala., and Billy Joe Cook of Hamilton, Ala.; one brother, Leon Loveless of Hamilton, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will begin at 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until service time Monday at New Bethel Baptist Church.
