Steve Roy Ramey – Obituary

Steve Roy Ramey, 63, of Addison, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Steve was born on Sept. 11, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated in 1972 from Morgan County High School. Steve worked at 3M for 42 years where he was known as “Rambo”. He loved motorcycles and cars (specifically his Corvette). Steve enjoyed going out to eat, gardening, and watching old movies. His favorite place to visit was the beach, so he could look at the ocean. Steve was full of life. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger.

Visitation will be held today, April 26, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home, Addison, where services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Sardis No. 2 Baptist Church Cemetery.

Steve is survived by his wife of 15 years, Pat Ramey; son, Wes (Tina) McCain; daughters, Julie (Colin) Fourt, Lindsey (Chad) Bryant; mother, Laverne Ramey; and brother, Dennis (Debbie) Ramey. He was “Steve” to five grandchildren, Chandler Bryant, Gwyneth Dean, Emily McCain, Chance (Morgan Griggs) McCain, Brittany (Bubba) Curtis; and three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Curtis, Haylee Curtis, and Macy Bice.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Ramey.
