TENNESSEE VALLEY-The Tennessee Valley Authority has issued a River update for Tuesday, April 24:

River Update: The Tennessee River at Florence, AL, and Savannah, and Perryville, TN is at or near flood stage because of heavy rainfall. Some areas in the Valley have received close to 6 inches of rain, with an average of 3 inches throughout the region. To help reduce downstream impacts, we are storing water at all Tennessee River reservoirs – expect higher than normal lake levels from Chickamauga to Kentucky Dams. Also, water levels will rise several feet at most tributary reservoirs.

Flood stage info:

Perryville, TN

Savannah, TN

Florence, AL
