Donald Ray Johnson, 83, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018, at The Meadows. He was born December 22, 1934, to Andy and Arie Gann Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army for four years and the National Guard for 20 years, where he was mobilized with Desert Storm in 2009. He worked at Davis Ford for 20 years as a mechanic and at Jesco Maintenance at Cooper Tire until his retirement. He attended Plainview Church of Christ. He enjoyed working in the yard, tinkering with cars, and being with his family. A good man who believed in hard work and providing for his family, Don never had a harsh word to say about anyone.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Eddie McMillen officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include three sons, Dwight Johnson (Cindy) of Fulton, George Jordan (Teresa) of Fairview, and Ronald Johnson of Fulton; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Johnson; his second wife, Ruth Johnson; three brothers, Gene, Foy, and Olon Johnson; two sisters, Mayreen Johnson and Murleen Goodwin; one child, Loretta Johnson; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Ray McCollum, Johnny Adams, Billy Robertson, and John Felix Robertson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the funeral home.
