Funeral service for Vida Mae Strawbridge Duke, 81, will be Monday, April 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Somerville Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Grubbs officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will lie in state at the Church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Simcoe Cemetery, (East of Cullman). Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday nights April 21st and 22nd, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Duke died on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born February 22, 1937, in Fulton County, Mississippi, to Elbert Strawbridge and Earlie Mae Hutchins Stawbridge. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Gay Duke, her parents, a son: Larry Gay Duke, siblings: Pearl Curvin, Mitchell Strawbridge, Artie LeCompete, Vedmer Poodra, and two grandchildren: Lisa Collins Renz and Jody Brookshire.
