Dorothy Rose Wright – Obituary

Dorothy Rose Wright, 90, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at The Meadows. She was born March 27, 1928, to Lloyd and Lottie Bell Hall. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dorsey. She served faithfully beside her husband, Bro. Milton Wright, wherever the Lord put them. She was an accomplished seamstress and especially loved making quilts. She also loved canning food from the garden and cooking for her family.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Dr. Kevin Clayton and Bro. Roger Akers officiating. Burial will be in the New Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include her three daughters, Kathryn Howington of Tupelo, Sylvia Rankin (Dennis) of Mobile, AL, and Wanda Craven (Ralph) of Laurel; seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Greg, Rachel, Robert, Ronald, Amanda, and Jason; 19 great-grandchildren; her sister, Geraldine Kimble (Billy Joe); her sister-in-law, Lois Wright; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Milton Wright; her parents; and one sister, Irene Senter.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
