THE SHOALS-The Shoals Symphony and Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts have teamed up to sponsor an Art Contest open to students in the Shoals from grades K through 12.
The categories are Elementary K-6 and Middle /High School 7-12.
There is a deadline to sign up for the contest of April 20th and artwork must be delivered by Wednesday, April 25th.
Submission Guidelines:
2-D or 3-D artwork in any medium under 24 inches x 24 inches are allowed for entry.
Prizes will be awarded for the most creative use of materials and theme (Ratatouille).
Two categories will be judged for a grand prize: two tickets to the Shoals Symphony performance of Ratatouille. Categories are Elementary (k-6) and Middle/High School (7-12).
Artists must sign up by April 20th to participate. To sign up please call Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts at 256-760-6379.
Artwork must be delivered by Wednesday, April 25.
Artwork will be displayed in the breezeway of the Kennedy-Douglass Center of the Arts, 217 E. Tuscaloosa St. Florence, AL 35630, from April 30 – May 4.
