James Dee Price – Obituary

James Dee Price died peacefully on April 10, 2018 at ECM Pallative Unit. He attended Greenhill United Pentecostal Church.

Visitation will be today, April 13th from 1 to 3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. His homegoing celebration will be at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Arlen Guidroz, Rev. Greg Shockley and Rev. Shane Stewart.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Price; son-in-law, Joe Covey; mother, Eva Price and father, Edward Price. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Price; daughter, Teresa Covey; sister, Loudean Zills and nephew, Darryl Zills.

He was a native of Hardin County, Tennessee, and moved to Florence when he was 12 years old. He excelled in his career in sales and could sell a bald headed man a comb! He was a good husband and father and never met a stranger. James will be remembered for his professional approach to the business people with whom he interacted.

Pallbearers will be Keith Graham, Tommy Freeman, Alon Adams, Steve Harrison, Rick Singleton and Marshall Lovelace. Honorary pallbearers will be friends from the round table at Jack’s. He was there every morning until his health prevented him from going.
