Clara Estelle Woods – Obituary

Clara Estelle Woods, 92, of Lexington, passed away into the arms of Jesus on April 10, 2018 at her home in Lexington, Alabama surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Florence, Alabama where she was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile that brightened every room she entered and her faith in God which inspired all who knew her. She was an LPN at ECM for 29 years where she touched countless lives through her unconditional love for everyone.  She was a beacon of light for Jesus to every patient and co-worker.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life Service will follow in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dino Atkins and Justus Cole officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Woods parents, Press Harrison Allison and Margie Lee Sharp Allison, son, Dennis Woods, daughter, Shirley Fowler and twelve loving brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jeannie Springer Reader and Martha McCullum (Jimmy); son, Tim Woods (Cynthia); 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jaime Woods, Matthew Embry, Douglas Smith, CJ Fowler, John Patrick and Jim McCullum.

Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Franks.

We would like to thank the staff at Alacare Hospice for their compassion and care they provided.
