Paul “Pete” Houston Walker, 66, was born in Tuscumbia, AL. He passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 5th, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. We are comforted in knowing he has been healed and is rejoicing with Jesus in Heaven.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leilus “Ed” and Sarah (Hannah) Walker, brother Daniel Law Walker, and special friend Doug Hill. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sara Bordner Walker, 3 beloved children, Ray (Sharon) Walker, Sara (Joel) Rummage, and Freida (Will) Hall, brother Leilus Walker, II, sisters Edwina McCurdy and Freida Marvin, 10 beautiful grandchildren, Kimberly, Dakota, Raymond, and Montana Walker, Janie, Hannah, Leslie, Ella, and Cayden Rummage, Erika Hall, special friend Karen Hill, and many extended family members and friends.

Pete was a loyal, loving, funny, honest, hard worker who never met a stranger. He went out of his way to help in every chance he could. He loved his family and was the best son, husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend anyone could ask for. He will be sadly missed by all the many people he touched during his life.

There will be a funeral service for him at Greenhill Funeral Home on Friday, April 13th at 2:00 P.M. with visitation before that from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. The burial will immediately follow this at Emmaline Stutts Cemetery across from Milner’s Chapel Church on CR 8 in Greenhill.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emmaline Stutts Cemetery to help keep his final resting place as beautiful as he deserves.
