Delbert McClinton At The Shoals Theatre April 13

FLORENCE-This Friday, April 13 at the Shoals Community Theatre, we have American blues rock and electric blues singer-songwriter, guitarist, harmonica player, pianist and multi-Grammy award winner, Delbert McClinton! Delbert is best known for his hits such as “Givin’ It Up For Your Love,” “Shakey Ground,” “Every Time I Roll The Dice,” “Same Kind Of Crazy,” “Two More Bottles Of Wine,” “Tell Me About It” with Tanya Tucker, and “Good Man, Good Woman” with Bonnie Raitt.
Opening for Delbert will be John Brannen. Brannen’s first release was in 1988 with Mystery Street. He followed up with the release of John Brannen (1993) on Mercury Nashville Records, which featured the song “Moonlight and Magnolias.” The music video of which became a top ten hit on VH1 in 1993. Following the success of “Moonlight and Magnolias,” Brennen was placed on the Triple Threat Tour alongside Shania Twain and Toby Keith. Brennen took a hiatus before releasing “Scarecrow” in 2000 which lead to a record deal with Sly Dog Records. Since his return to the limelight in 2000, Brannen has released three albums The Good Thief (2004), Twilight Tattoo (2006), and Bravado (2010) leading to his musical style being compared to Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, and Jackson Browne. As a songwriter, Brennen has found success with his song “Somebody” which was featured on the Eagles 2007 release, “Long Road Out Of Eden.”
