Suspect Arrested Sunday For Hit-And-Run Accident In Athens Last Week

ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson issued a statement on the hit-and-run accident that occurred  last week on US 31.  Police arrested the suspect on Sunday, April 8:

“Jonathan Ross McCulloch was arrested Saturday afternoon in Muscle Shoals for leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.

 McCulloch was driving the car that caused the accident On US 31 at Freeman Avenue last week involving a motorcycle and left the scene.

McCulloch made an improper turn in front of the motorcycle causing the motorcycle to hit the passenger side of the vehicle.

Investigators Jonathan Caldwell and Kelly Fussell acting on information we received were able to locate McCulloch and arrest him.

I would like to thank everyone that contacted the police department with information about the accident. McCulloch was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.”
