Virginia Harris Oswalt, 80, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham. She was born January 26, 1938 to the late Jessie Harris and the late Verna Harris Underwood Smith. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She enjoyed gospel singings with her friends.
Services will be 2:00 pm on Sunday April 8, 2018 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Adams and Bro. Lloyd Minor officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Sunday. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Jenny Fulghum of Plantersville; son, Jackie Rankin of Fulton; 3 step-children; several step-grandchildren; brother, Sammie (Barbara) Harris of Starkville; sister, Carol Nielsen of Fayetteville, TN; best friend, Elowayne Jones
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Billie C. Oswalt, Sr.
