Vera I. Norwood, 94, of Town Creek died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at her home. Her funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Courtland Baptist Church with Bro. Scotty Letson officiating and Jackson Memory Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to her funeral from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Courtland City Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford “Shorty” Norwood; parents, W.K. and Gertrude Bryant; son, Ronald Norwood and brother, Norman Bryant. She is survived by one son, Stanley Norwood (Peggy) of Town Creek; one daughter, Sandra Baker (Mike) of Decatur; one sister, Clara Davenport of Kalamazoo, Michigan; sister-in-law, Pat Bryant of Pikeville, North Carolina; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
