Michael Lewis Whited – Obituary

Michael Lewis Whited, age 53, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at his residence.

Michael was born on March 6, 1965 to Lawrence E. and Loretta Doyle Whited, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. He was gifted in music, being an accomplished guitar player and song-writer. He used his talents to facilitate his career as a band manager. He received many awards for managing “The Clarks”. He lived in California and during that time, he created and hosted the radio show, Doc Holliday’s Watusi Rodeo. He was also a music promoter, being elevated to VP of Promotions for Electra Records. After moving to Nashville, Michael started AirAssault Entertainment. One of his favorite sayings was, “Buy the ticket, take the ride.”

As big as Michael’s love for music was, it was surpassed by his love of his son, Jefferson. He was a dedicated father, and loved spending time with Jefferson. One of their favorite activities together was canoeing and kayaking. Michael was of the Presbyterian faith.

Michael is survived by his beloved son: Jefferson Whited; mother: Loretta Whited; siblings: Carla Sims and Brett Sean (Lori) Whited; nephews: Connor Whited and Sean Sims; niece: Lauren Sims; and step-nieces: Alyssa and Alaina Cirencione. He was preceded in death by his father: Lawrence E. Whited.
