Mrs. Doris Estelle Nelson, age 79, of Lacey’s Spring passed away on April 2, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Nelson was born on May 24, 1938 in Cullman County to Louie McCaray & Louise Powell McCaray. She enjoyed attending gospel singings and loved the Lord.
Doris was a member of First Community Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Charlotte & Bufford Hillis; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen & Brenda Goodwin; chosen children, Christine Hillis & Trinity Hillis; sisters, Irine, Lorine, Joyce & Linda; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Louie McCaray & Louise Powell McCaray; son, David Nelson; brothers, Tommy & Jessie; sister, Margie.
