Funeral service for Mr. Steve Mark Henry, age 67, of Huntsville, AL, will be conducted at 10 AM on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. John Denney and Bob Milam officiating. Graveside burial service will follow at 3 PM in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Franklin, TN.
Mark was born on April 6, 1950 in Tuscumbia, AL to the late Elbert Franklin and Hope Hastings Henry. Mr. Henry was a gospel preacher with the Church of Christ and served the Lord with Liberty and Wells Hill Church of Christ in Fayetteville, TN and Randolph Church of Christ in Huntsville, AL. He was a youth minister at Memorial Parkway Church of Christ in Huntsville, AL. Mark also served as a Missionary in Project Italy with the Church of Christ. He was a talented musician including a music teacher, choral director, guitarist, and song leader. Mr. Henry passed away on April 2, 2018 at Regency Health & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loving family.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Susan Patricia Johnston Henry; children, Laura Beth Henry (Cory) Lamb of Jeffersonville, IN, David Franklin (Jennifer) Henry of Franklin, TN, and Matthew Steven Henry of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Harrison Lamb, Greyson Lamb, Holden Henry and Jack Henry; brother, Phil (Ruth) Henry of Nashville, TN; sister, Lisa (Larry) Kee of Fayetteville; nephews, Philip (Mackenzie) Henry and Joshua Kee; and nieces, Holly Henry (Billy) Huddleston, Amanda Henry (Anton) Santiago, Beth Kee and Rachel Kee.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 7 PM on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Higgins Funeral Home, 213 Market Street East, Fayetteville, TN 37334. Memorial contributions may be made to Rainbow Omega, Inc. at 100 Hope Drive, Eastaboga, AL 36260 in memory of Mark. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Steve Mark Henry.
