Madgelene (Madge) Hendrix – Obituary

Madgelene (Madge) Hendrix, of the Mt. Hebron Community, formall of Guntersville, went to be with Jesus on March 31, 2018.
She was 87 years young. She was preceded in death by her late husband George J. Hendrix.
Mr and Mrs. Hendrix lived in Oneonta for many years, where she worked at The Round the Clock Restaurant.
They moved back to her home town of Guntersville after they retired.
She was the mother of two children, George M. Hendrix of Guntersville and Kathy Lawson of Mt. Hebron. Mrs. Hendrix was also a grandmother of two grandchildren, Jackie Lawson (Julie), and Kandi Collins (Ricky) all of Mt. Hebron. She also had 4 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new great great grandson.
She was a member of The River Church of God of Guntersville, where she had many friends. She loved Lake Guntersville and loved to walk the trails by the water. She also had a very soft heart for animals. She enjoyed spending time with her sister Jenny and special friend Jane.
Mrs. Hendrix will be laid to rest at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Union Grove and will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
