Sue Millican, age 71 of Detroit, AL, passed away Saturday morning, March 31, 2018 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm from Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Liberty Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tim Harris, Bro. Danny Stanford, Bro. Devin Henry will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6-8 pm.

Pallbearers: Brian Gilstrap, Blake Gilstrap, Gerald Banks, Johnny Johnson, Seth Knight, Coley Gilstrap, and David Nichols

Sue was born October 20, 1946 in Lamar County to the late W.A. “Rooster” Stanford and Euline Lucas Stanford. She attended Detroit and Sulligent Schools. She worked in a secretarial position over the years for Detroit Slacks, McCoy Manufacturing and Lamar County Probate Office.

In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, growing and tending to flowers, all church activities and the greatest joy was spending time with her grandsons and family.

Sue was an active member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.

Blake (Alisha) Gilstrap, Sulligent, AL
Great Nephews and Nieces: Bradie, Brilyn, Bella, Coley, Callie Gilstrap
