Glenn Lamar Walker 85, of Ardmore,AL died Thursday, March 29, 2018 at his home in Ardmore, Alabama.

Glenn is an Auburn alumi, graduating in 1955 with a degree in electrical engineering. After graduation he went into the army for 2 years and spent 8 years as a reserve. Glenn worked 40 years at NASA where he was instrumental in putting man on the moon while working alongside Dr. Werner Von Braun.

Born Wednesday, January 04, 1933 in Birmingham, AL, he was the son of James Elbert Walker and Mary Will Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jeff Walker, and brothers, Tom and Howard Walker.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Walker, Ardmore, AL, daughter, Lara Lynn (Chris) Miller, Ardmore, AL, Grandchildren, Mason Hargrove, Lincoln Miller, Levi Miller, Will Walker, and Ally Walker.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 01, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 02, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tony Boyles and Bro. Mack Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL
