Michael Ray Barber – Obituary

Michael Ray Barber, 63, died Friday, March 23, 2018, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born December 7, 1954, to Ray Wendell and Betty Lou Harrison Barber Mize. He worked at Gibson Containers, Chickasaw Containers, and was also talented at making moccasins and Indian Artifacts. In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing softball with the Shiloh team. He also enjoyed bowling, hunting, and beagle field trials.

Services will be at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, March 25, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Grady Davidson officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Chris Barber; one daughter, Becky and Brant Graham; four grandchildren, Hannah Graham, Baylee Graham, Will Barber, and Josh Germany, all of Mantachie; one sister, Nannette Jernigan of Lake Butler, Fla.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky McMillen, Michael Lee Witcher, Larry Dee Brown, Mike Dodson, and Donald Yielding.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p. m. until service time Sunday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
