Sarah Frances Sumner – Obituary

Sarah Frances Sumner, 77 of Huntsville passed away in Jefferson county surrounded by her family. Mrs. Sumner was born in Madison county to Edgar Ross Quillin and Nina Mae Cooper Hughey. She worked for South Trust Bank until she retired.
Mrs. Sumner enjoyed attending Brindlee Baptist Church where she was a member for many years. She was part of a group of ladies that called themselves “South Trust Retirees” that got together once a month for lunch and all truly enjoyed visiting together and catching up. One of her favorite things to do was play games. Board games, cards and even dice. Her favorite participants were none other than her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She always loved spending time with them and looked forward to their visits.
She is predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by son Randy Tyrone “Ty” Sumner, daughter Karen Sumner (Paul) Leopard, brother Edgar Ross “Buddy” Quillin, sister Sue Harris, grandchildren Jennifer Manning, Davis (Anna) Manning, Liza Sumner, Hannah (Jake) Smith, Ali Leopard, great-grandchildren Davis Burnes Manning and Molly Kate Manning.
