Vernon “Pete” Brown 74, of Ardmore,AL died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born Monday, August 09, 1943 in Athens, AL, he was the son of Rena May Brown . Pete was in the drywall finishing business for over 50 years and was co-owner of B&H Drywall. He enjoyed Bama football and reminiscing with former teammates about playing basketball at Madison Cross Roads and Sparkman High School. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Charles Wayne”Buck” Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gilda Luna Brown, Ardmore, AL, Daughter, Angela(David) Walker, Sister, Norma Brown, Toney, AL, Grand Children, Austin Walker & Amber Walker, a special Aunt, Margie Grimes, of Spring Hill TN. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home,from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Service will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 1:00 PM
with Bro. Lynn Marshall and Dr. Ray Stonecypher and Bro. Aaron Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
