Sarah Margie Lancaster, 83, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Shoals Hospital. She was born in Vina, AL to Hazel and Lucille McClain Holland. She was a nurse’s aid for 35 years. She was a member of Old Burleson Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 18, at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Billy Nichols, Bro. Walter Bennett and Ray Mattingley officiating. Burial will be in Old Burleson Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by four children-Ray Lancaster (Sandy) of Springfield, IL, Roy Holland (Shirley) of Russellville, AL, Sarah Hannah of Florence, AL and David Lancaster of Red Bay, AL; six grandchildren-D. Ray Lancaster, Keesha Hood, Ryan Lancaster, Joseph Lancaster, Nicole Yonson and Daniel Lancaster; nine great-grandchildren-Tracie Lancaster, Hunter Hood, Connor Hood, Tyler Lancaster, Lee Lancaster, Destinee Lancaster, Violet Lancaster , Willow Yonson and Brylee Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband-Herman “Pat” Lancaster; daughter-Gaylia Hobson; two brothers-Bobby Holland and L.C. Holland and one sister-Shirley Humphres.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons-D. Ray Lancaster, Ryan Lancaster, Joseph Lancaster, Daniel Lancaster, Patrick Hood and Gary Yonson. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, Tim Oliver, Donny Holland, Buddy McClain and Junior Holland.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 18, 10-2 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
