FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement concerning a robbery that took place on Saturday, March 17:

“Shortly before 10:30pm on 03/17/18 officers responded to Circle K at CR 47 and Cox Creek to an armed robbery that had just occurred. When officers arrived, witnesses were located that had seen a black truck park behind the store. The witnesses watched a white male run to the store and then back to the truck. While officers were working that scene the Lauderdale County Sheriff Department was dispatched to a second armed robbery at the Shell station at Cloverdale Rd and Rasch Rd. FPD Officers were the first officers to arrive at that scene and took the one suspect into custody. Officers responding to that call spotted a truck, matching the description, traveling south on Cloverdale Road. A traffic stop was conducted in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Cloverdale Rd and a second suspect was taken into custody.
