Kermit M. Jones was born on Wednesday, February 22, 1922, to William Manley Jones and Linnie Lenora Dukes in Hardeman County, TN. In 1948, he married Clara Dale Jones. Mr. Jones was a retired auto-mechanic for Jock Freeman in Memphis, TN. Kermit was a methodist, and he loved his animals, watching PBS, singing and playing his guitar. He was enlisted in the US Army for 90 days with an honorable discharge. Mr. Jones grew up in Hardeman County, but lived in Memphis for most of his adult life.
He is survived by his two daughters, Charlene Tate(Jonathan) and Anita Doyle of Senatobia, MS; a niece, Linda Ann Jones of Jackson, TN; two grandchildren, Amanda Doyle Marston and Calvin Puckett; and two great-grandchildren, Milo Marston and Molly Marston.
Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, William Manley Jones and Linnie Lenora Dukes; two brothters, Robert Jones and Roy Jones; a sister, Mary Elois; a nephew, William Earl Jones; and a niece Alicia Jones Hughes.
