Francis M. Kennedy, 94, died Friday, March 16, 2018 at Southern Magnolia in Golden. She was born in Tishomingo County, MS to Porter and Mary Sanderson McVay. She was a homemaker and was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Savannah, TN.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 18 at 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Cecil Woodruff, Bro. Clinton Barnett and Bro. Gene Gist officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by three daughters-Mary Frances Bailey, Sarah Oliver (Edwin) and Patsy Ozbirn (Calvin) all of Dennis; two sons-James Kennedy (Janice) of Golden and Rickey Kennedy (Lynn) of Dennis; eleven grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband-Warren Kennedy; son-Jerry Ray Kennedy; grandson-Anthony Bailey; son-in-law-Charles Bailey; her parents; two sisters-Delphia Flanagan and Mattie Logston and one brother-Doc McVay.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and granddaughters-Brandon Kennedy, Tracey Kennedy, Patrick Oliver, Brian Oliver, Rodney Kennedy, Andrew Ozbirn, Daniel Ozbirn, Stephen Kennedy, Kristen Davis, Angie Hamm and Emily Shelton.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 17, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
