Marlee Michelle Sutton – Obituary

Marlee Michelle Sutton, 13, of Mount Hope moved to Heaven on Monday, March 12, 2018 at her home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, March 15, 2018 at Cornerstone Church. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Tony Collins officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Lawrence Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Born on May 24, 2004, Marlee was a student at Hatton School where she was on the Cross Country and Track Team. She was a member of the Cornerstone Dream Team and High Impact Youth Group, and a Lawrence County Special Olympics Volunteer.

Survivors include her parents, Wendy Michelle Norwood (Scott); sisters, Amber Gatlin (Wesley), Jordan Jones (Daniel) and Journey Sutton; brother, Hudson Norwood; grandparents, Wayne and Donnie Sutton and Marvin and Joye Cameron; and nieces and nephews, Zayde Roberson, Adelyn Hollis, Taylie Gatlin, Isaac Jones and Sutton Jones.

Marlee was preceded in death by her father, Bradley Don Sutton.

Pallbearers will be Bill Little, Shannon Sutton, Joel Sutton, Wesley Gatlin, Daniel Jones and Josh Terry. Honorary pallbearers are the Hatton Cross Country and Track Team and the Hatton Student Body and Faculty.

Special thanks are given to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.
