Graveside service for Mrs. Mary Fanning Thornton, age 96, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Bro. Mike Robertson officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Vera Ellen (Ed) Campbell of Fayetteville, TN; sons, Wayne (Cathy) Thornton and Raymond (Arlene Ann) Thornton; grandchildren, Douglas (Cindy) Campbell, Lee (Stacy) Campbell, Scharlene (Lonnie) Jennings, Raymond (Samantha) Thornton, Danessa (David) Herd, Shanna (Andy) Rodriguez, Courtney (Chad) Brown; and thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Thornton and parents, Rufus Talley and Vera Gattis Fanning.
Visitation with family will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Thornton.
