Kyle Smith, 86, of Leighton, AL passed away Monday, March 12, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. at Hatton Church of Christ with service to follow. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery. He was the husband to Veda Smith. He was a member of Hatton Church of Christ, North Alabama Wagon Club, and Fundraising for St. Jude. He was retired from the Telephone Company as a lineman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Vennie Smith; brother, Royce Smith; sister, Marcelene Franks.
Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Veda Smith; sons, Kelly (Felicia) Smith and Kevin (Tena) Smith; brother, Sterlin Smith; sister, Mebalene Berryman; grandchildren, Kristina McCormack, Jennifer Smith, Candi Hester, and Matt Smith; eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Smith, Kanin Randolph, Craig Smith, Eric Kidd, Vernon Parker, and Mike Owens.

Kyle Smith was an honest man and my friend. He made the name Kyle so admirable that I named my 2nd son Kyle.
